The venture team behind the Cap & Gown Initiative consists of four founders: Jared Kenyon, Adam Surico, Elise Peters and Ben Pado, four friends from the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona. The venture team formed early on over their personal connections to problems resulting from expensive tuition for higher education. The Cap & Gown Initiative was then formed to find an alternative way for students to be able to afford tuition at in-state universities in Arizona.
